BASIC FAQS & POLICIES

A copy of all Policies and Procedures will be provided before Meet & Greet.

Business is solely owned & operated by me. I do not have any employees & provide care year-round, 7 days a week, including holidays.

I am fully insured but I am not bonded. I am not bonded due to me running my business as a sole proprietor and not having any employees.

Pet Care Hours: 7:00AM-9PM (Last visit being 8:30PM) 

Service Areas: Landis, China Grove, and most areas of Kannapolis. Upon contacting me, please provide your address so I can make sure you are within my service radius!

For House Sitting, I have recently implemented a 3 Night Maximum Policy for dogs, meaning I will gladly provide Drop-In visits for clients going out of town for 1-3 nights. If you are going to be away more than 4 nights, I like to suggest hiring a trusted professional that does overnight sittings and can spend more time in your home OR looking into a trusted, highly rated boarding facility if that is an environment your dog does well in. This new policy has been put into place due to my feeling on the overall comfort and safety for dogs of those that are gone for longer, extended periods of time.  Again, this policy only applies to dogs. Cats and small animals I will care for longer periods. Thank you for your understanding!

Scheduling: To ensure your pets are receiving the best quality of care, I do not overbook myself. Because of this, it is important to give me as much notice as possible when services are needed. I understand things come up last minute and I am happy to take last minute requests if I have the availability, but I cannot guarantee it.  I appreciate your understanding!

Visit Frequency: If you are going to be gone for 24 hours or more, 3 visits a day is required for dogs. If your dog(s) have a doggy door and are able to let themselves out in a secure, fenced in yard, consideration of 2 visits a day will be made. For cats, once a day is required.

Visit Times: Due to traffic and the overall nature of caring for animals, an exact time of a visit cannot be guaranteed. When scheduling visits with me, it is preferred that you give me a time block of 1-2 hours, although in non busy times an hour time block can typically be done. For example, if you would prefer I see your pet at 3pm, please understand I may arrive anywhere from 2:00pm-4:00pm. Dogs and cats that need medication at a certain time are always made priority to get to them as close to the time needed. I always keep pet parents updated on my arrival time if there is any chance I am running behind schedule and do my very best to arrive on agreed upon times for your pet! Specific arrival times can sometimes be honored when possible but are never guaranteed.

Flea/Tick Preventative: Fleas in North Carolina are an issue year-round. I require that all pets be up to date on flea and tick preventative using a medication that is agreed upon by you and your veterinarian. Under no circumstance can I care for animals that are currently infested with fleas. Fleas and their eggs can be tracked into homes and onto other pets through our clothing, shoes, and bodies.

Medication/Vaccinations/Immunizations: I will gladly administer oral/topical medications as directed and there is no extra charge for this. Under no circumstance will I provide service for any pet that has any form of an active contagious illness. I will not pet sit for acutely ill pets or pets with uncontrolled/untreated medical conditions. All pets must have the necessary vaccinations and immunizations before service begins.

Outdoor Pet Policy: I do not provide services to animals housed outdoors 24/7. 

Guests Staying in Your Home: Sweet Creature Pet Care politely declines to provide pet sitting services if you have family or guests staying in your home while you are gone. I will only pet sit for those that will have an empty house (other than your pets) while you are away. 

PAYMENT

Payments are always to be paid prior to the start of my visit(s) and in accordance with my booking policy.  I accept Cash, Venmo, Apple Pay, and Zelle. 

Holiday Rate: +$10 added to all services. Because of the high demand during Holiday times, visits taking place on the following days will be subject to the Holiday rate. *New Year's Day, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve* Please make your reservations as early as possible to secure your spot on my calendar! Holidays often book out months in advance and I am only able to take so many pets at a time.
